Doris Nash passed away on May 22, 2022 at Summer’s Pointe where she was residing at the age of 96. She lived in rural Ridgeville most of her life.
Doris was born in Jay County, Indiana on October 22, 1925. Her parents were Roscoe and Lena (Miller) Lee, who have preceded her in death as well as her brothers, Glen Lee, Elvin Lee, and Robert Lee.
She was the wife of William Nash, who died May 17, 2018. They were married 72 years. Her first husband was George Neil who was killed in battle on D Day at the start of World War II.
Doris had four children, Robert (wife Marlene) Nash of Ridgeville, Indiana, Rex and Richard Nash of Ft. Meyers, Florida and daughter Patricia Nash, deceased. She has two grandchildren, Perry (wife Tori) Nash of Shelbyville, IN and Sarah (husband Wesley) Hodson of Ridgeville, IN. Her great grandchildren are Madelyn Vance, Kobe Vance, Beckham Nash, Kali Hodson, Madisen Hodson, and Morgan Hodson. She is also survived by her sister Mary (Denny) Wallace of Anderson, IN. Troy and Cheryl Prescott were like family to her also.
Doris enjoyed crocheting afghans and toboggans, counted cross stitch, needle point, and weaving. Anyone she met would receive one of her creations, especially the tissue box covers.
Doris was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winchester, IN where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with burial at Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester, IN.
There will be no viewing. Charities may be made to the Building Fund of St. Joeseph Catholic Church, 514 W. Washington Street, Winchester, IN 47394.
