Donald R Peacock

Donald R. Peacock, 86, of Winchester, passed away April 29, 2024, at Persimmon Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Portland, Indiana with his family by his side.  Donald was born October 12, 1937, in Winchester, Indiana to the late Ralph and Frances (Hindsley) Peacock.  On January 31, 1960, he married his wife of 64 years, Myrna (Heald) Peacock in Plainfield, Indiana.

Donald was a lifelong farmer.  He greatly enjoyed his family, his church, sports, and antique tractors.  He was a member of Jericho Friends Church, the Jericho Cemetery Board, and the Randolph County Antique Club.  Donald also enjoyed family genealogy and researching the history of the Jericho community with his brothers.  His sense of humor and caring nature endeared him to family and many others.

Along with his wife Myrna, Donald was survived by his children: Chris (Carla) Peacock, Jon (Brenda) Peacock, and Rose (Randy) Myers; grandchildren, Emily Peacock, Morgan (Derek) Kroeger, Lauren Peacock, Sarah (Kevin) Kouns, Shane (Elizabeth) Peacock, Alyssa (Jarred) Hankins, Andrew (Andy) Myers, Alex (Libby) Myers, and Adam Myers; and great grandchildren: Scottie Mae Kroeger, Beau Kroeger, Ryleigh Kouns, Emery Kouns, Isaiah Kouns, Clark Peacock, Wesley Peacock, and Olivia Myers Schemm; brother, Kenneth (Marilyn) Peacock; and sister-in-law, Beverly Peacock.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Peacock.

A service to celebrate Donald’s life will be at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Jericho Friends Church, with Pastor Martin Wells officiating.  Burial will follow at the Jericho Cemetery.

Friends and family may call from 1-3 p.m., on Saturday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Jericho Friends Church, 4010 E 100 S, Winchester, IN 47394.
