Donald Honenberger

Donald Honenberger, 91, of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester.  He was born on July 12, 1932, in Cook County, IL to Clinton and Elizabeth (McGahan) Honenberger.

Donald attended Richmond High School.  He was a self-educated tooling and manufacturing engineer with over 45 years’ experience including 7 years in electronic design, 5 years as a facility engineer, in over 32 products including refrigerators, piston rings, switches, dumb-waiters and 11 years with space shuttle building.  After living and working in California, he and Nancy returned to Indiana.   His hobbies included amateur radio and private pilot, wood-working, and Catholic religion (20units of college level theology). 

Donald is survived by his several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy D. Honenberger; his parents; a sister, Donna Pugh; and two brothers, Gary Honenberger and Robert Schmidt.

A memorial mass for Donald will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winchester with Father Peter Logsdon officiating.
