Dianna Kay (Ackman) McFarland

Dianna Kay Ackman McFarland, age 78, passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born on December 7, 1946, to William R. and M. Ruth Ackman, Dianna lived a life filled with devotion to her family and faith. A cherished member of the Winchester Friends Church, she drew strength and community from her spiritual home throughout her life. After retiring from York Casket, she became a loving care giver to many in her small town.

Dianna was a devoted wife to her husband Cleo of 37 years and a proud loving mother to her three sons, Gerald Wayne Davis Jr. (Rhonda), Bill Davis (Angie), and Rusty Davis (Liz). She shared a remarkably close bond with her brother Walter Ackman (Lesa) and Kim Jarrett.

Dianna was a beloved grandmother to Sierra, Austin, Alyssa, Amber, Isaiah and Elijah and a special great grandmother to Jordan, Draydenn, Syler, Collins and Emerie. She was also a treasured aunt to several nieces and nephews. During her most recent health struggles her niece, Melissa England, provided heartfelt care and support along with her hospice nurses, Elizabeth, Lisa, Becky, and her aide Ciearra.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brothers William, Arthur, and Ricky Ackman.

A funeral service honoring Dianna’s life will be held on Friday, September 26 at noon, with viewing from 10-12 at the Winchester Friends Church with Pastor Ron Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester, Indiana.

Dianna’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory bring peace and comfort to those she touched.
