Delores Marie (Pursley) Williams (85) of Winchester, Indiana, died unexpectedly following surgery on December 26, 2025. She passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side.
Delores was born April 18, 1940 in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of Granville and Remonda
Pursley.
Above all else, Delores enjoyed spending time with her family and many dear friends. She was a member of the Countryside Christian Church in Winchester for over 50 years. She was a 1958 graduate of Madison High School in Jay County. During her career, Delores worked at the Randolph County Court House and later attended Ambers Beauty School and worked as a Beautician. She also worked as a secretary for Daly & Daly Attorneys and at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Delores is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Skip) Overmyer and Janice (Chris) Long, her grandchildren, Joshua Overmyer, Natasha Dugdale, Jenna (Matt) Long and Amanda (Trey) Spurgeon, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 44 years, Elvis Williams, and by four siblings, Eldon (Barbara) Pursley, Illene (Robert) Hill, Evelyn (Frank) Slick, and Dale (Rose) Pursley.
Delores will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends may gather and share memories at Countryside Christian Church, 1212 E 100 S, Winchester, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Melissa Kleinschmidt officiating.
