Dawn Elaine (Hobbs) Wilson, 67, of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 25, 1957, in Winchester, to Herbert Hobbs and Doris Kay (Tomboeken) Shinn.
Dawn was a 1975 graduate of Randolph Southern High School. She was an excellent poet and had great skills as a word smith. If you had time to wait all day, Dawn’s cooking was beyond excellent. She loved taking treasure walks to find new things. She was selfless, spiritual, loved animals, loved to read and drink coffee, and was a night owl.
Dawn is survived by her daughters, Zinnia (Aaron) Jenkins and Joy Arnett; sons, Lakota (Ashley) Jenkins and Zeb (Tasha) Jenkins; grandchildren, Guinn, Savannah, Jimmy, Stormi, Shadie, Summer, Skylah, Jaylen, Connor, Charity, Logan, Willow, Hemi, Hudson; three great grandchildren; brothers, Herb Hobbs, and Neil (Charli) Hobbs; two step sisters, Peggy and Darcy, and her fur baby, Luna.
Dawn was preceded in death by her partner, Robert Joscak; her mom, dad, and step dad, John Shinn; a brother Tim Hobbs, a grandchild, Naomi.
A celebration of Dawn’s life will be from 12-4 p.m., on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Meinerding Clubhouse, 606 W. Martin Street, Winchester, IN 47394
