David Allen May

David Allen May passed away on May 7, 2022, unexpectedly.  David was born on March 5, 1968, in Winchester, to Oscar (Hun) May and Virginia Lawson.

David enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, and really enjoyed spending time with his son and family.  He also enjoyed music and was a big Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed watching basketball.

David is survived by his son, Drayton May; his daughter, Kursten Wallace; his sisters, Melissa Pittman of Arkansas, Cathy Baldwin (David) of Winchester, Terrie Goodhew (Vince) of Ridgeville, Becky Handy of Portland, and Connie Brown of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lawson; father, Oscar (Hun) May; and a brother, Rick Handy.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Voice of Christ Church in Winchester.  Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.

Friends and family may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Saturday at the church.  There will be a dinner following the service at the Voice of Christ Church.
