David L Harris, Sr.

David L. Harris, Sr., 77, of Winchester, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester.  He was born on March 7, 1945, in Winchester, to Isom Roy and Irene (Garringer) Harris.

David was a 1963 graduate of Winchester High School.  He served in the US Army from 1965-1967, During the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Korea.  David worked at Anchor Glass where he retired after 37 years.  He engaged in farming his entire life and had a true love for old John Deere tractors. 

David is survived by his wife, Connie Harris, whom he married on October 22, 1970; his children, Davina (Eric) Prather, David (Nicole) Harris, Jr., and Joanna (Brian) Boyatt; 2 brothers, Sam Harris and Roy Harris; two sisters, Jan Bisel and Louise Swingley; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 

David was preceded in death by his parents.

Per David’s wishes there will be no services.
