Charles “Chuck” Leroy Jessup, 70, of Winchester, Indiana, passed away on December 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 18, 1955, in Winchester, he was the son of Ivan and Kate (Barnes) Jessup.
Chuck was a devoted father, sibling, and friend whose smile and kindness touched everyone who knew him. He was a long-time employee of Frank Miller Lumber, retiring in 2020, an original member of the Undesirable Charity Club and everyone’s favorite Santa.
He is survived by three children: Catey (Jay) Soulek, Cody (Gina) Van Note, and Kristina (Jennifer) Johnson; his siblings: Brenda Johnting, William Jessup, Betty Jessup (Tonya Hackett), and Donna (Tom) Armer; his life partner, Lois Brown; along with his many beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Charles Joseph Jessup; and two brothers, Glen and John Jessup.
Chuck’s life was marked by resilience, love for family, and his fun-loving free spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life will take place on January 17, 2026 from 3-6pm at the Moose Lodge in Winchester, IN.
