Charles Steven Fahl, 73, of Lynn, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Reid Health in Richmond. He was born on March 23, 1951, in Columbus, IN, to Sherman and Helen (Anderson) Fahl.
Steve was a retired truck driver and helped Steve Moore Farming. He grew up a farmer, and was also a tool and die guy, and EMT for Randolph County EMS, and a volunteer firefighter, as well as chief for Lynn Fire Department for many years. Steve was a member of the Farmland Conservation Club and the National Micro Mini Tractor Pullers Association. He loved pulling in mini tractor pulls, his Mountain Dew, but #1 was his family. He also loved eating BBQ ribs as well as homemade steak, and listening to Country music and Old Rock and Roll.
Steve is survived by his wife, Gayle (Hollingsworth) Fahl; daughter, Angie (Mike) Burk; son, Kyle (Melissa) Fahl; brothers and sisters, Susan (Darrell) Sheppard, Nancy (Greg) Cheatham, Russell (Diana) Fahl, Doug (Connie) Fahl, Becky (Jeff) Johnson, and Jennifer (Zane) Hendrickson; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and best friends Steve and Alisa Moore; and his fur baby, Reko.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
A service to celebrate his life will be from 2-5 p.m., on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Randolph County 4-H Building, 1885 South US 27, Winchester, Indiana 47394. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be available at the service or P.O. Box 312 Lynn, IN 47355.
