Brian William Louis Bex, Age 82 of Lynn Indiana passed away on July 30, 2025, Father, Husband, Speaker, Author, Creator, Philosopher & Patriot
Over the course of Brian’s life, he published over two dozen books. He narrated hundreds of audio programs & published The Brian Bex Report, a platform for his astute commentary on politics, current events, culture & history. Through the American Communications Network, he worked to foster intellectual entrepreneurship, a love of liberty & individual responsibility. He inspired generations of thinkers & communicators that shared his passion for free inquiry & principled debate.
Born February 5, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, Brian L. Bex combined the determination of his Midwestern roots with a truly global perspective. This perspective was further shaped by deep reading, public disclosure & cultural curiosity. Brian is the creator & founder of the Remnant Trust Historical Library now located at the Indiana Historical Society Building in Indianapolis, Indiana. Whether he stood in front of a camera, behind a lectern or at the helm of the Remnant Trust, he remained committed to the belief that liberty must be continually studied, debated & defended.
He is preceded in death by Parents, Jeanne Rowena Scharbau Bex & John E. Bex & brother John David Bex of Camp Hills, PA. He is survived by his wife Claudia Thorn Bex, three sons Jay Douglas Bex, Charles Andrew Louis Bex, Kristopher Aaron Bex, 5 Grandchildren, Doris A Preston, sister-in-law, Brother-in-Law Jeff Thorn & Bruce Bridges Thorn, Thorn & Preston nieces & nephews, Friends, and Colleagues.
A celebration of Brian’s Life will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday August 6th, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Father Peter Logston officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lynn, Indiana Volunteer Fire Department, for being the “Knights in shining armor” that they are.
