Brenda Kay Hammers

Brenda Kay Hammers, 65, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.  She was born on August 11, 1959, in Winchester, to Robert and Barbara (Armstrong) Hammers.

Brenda was a resident of Hillcroft Services in Muncie.  She loved bowling, shopping and eating with her house mates.  She especially enjoyed Diet Coke, Minnie Mouse, the color blue, and Christmas.

Brenda is survived by her sister, Marsha (Dan) Shires; and her Hillcroft family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Walter and Donna Armstrong and Jesse and Dorothy Hammers.

A service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be at 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.  Burial will follow at Reitenour Cemetery in Ridgeville. 

Friends and family may call from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillcroft Services, 501 W Air Park Drive, Muncie, IN 47303, to help with activities for Hillcroft Clients.

Brenda’s family would like to thank the staff at Hillcroft for their love and care of her through the years.
