Brenda Kay (Craiger) Fritts

Brenda Kay Fritts (Craiger), 75, of Winchester, IN passed away peacefully in her home on January 15, 2025. Brenda was born on May 23, 1949 to Eva Jackson and Keith Craiger. She dedicated her life to her family, her faith and her community. She married the love of her life, Jesse E. Fritts, and together they built a beautiful legacy during their 57 years of marriage. Their unwavering love and commitment to each other was an inspiration to all who knew them.

Brenda spent 30 years working at the Randolph Nursing Home, where she cared for others with compassion and kindness. Her dedication and warm spirit touched countless lives during her career. A faithful member of the Voice for Christ Church, her life was a testament to her deep faith and love for the Lord.

Above all, she cherished her family. Brenda was the proud mother of Tina Fritts Hatfield, Jesse Fritts and Penny (husband Kevin) Frost. She was the loving Grandmother to 10 wonderful grandchildren and a great grandmother to 13 adoring children. She was also devoted to her siblings and multiple nieces and nephews. Her love, wisdom and unwavering support was the foundation of her family. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her radiant smile and the unconditional love she showed to everyone she met.

A celebration of life will be held at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester on Tuesday, January 21st. The receiving of friends will take place from 12-2 with funeral services immediately following. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Voice for Christ Church following the graveside service.

Brenda is survived by her three children; 10 grandchildren, Corry (husband Slayd) Milhollin, Chassity Ramsey, Chet (wife Haley) Fifer, Cole Fifer, Corby Fifer, Casyn Byrum, Kainin Frost, Gathen Frost, Justin (wife Tessa) Fritts, Austin Fritts; Siblings John Craiger (wife Lisa), Kim Martin (husband Chuck), Jack Jackson, Eddie Jackson (wife Judy), Kirk Jackson; Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse E. Fritts, mother Eva Jackson, father Keith Craiger and two siblings; Kenny R. Craiger and Rita Jackson.

Though she may be gone from our sight, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
