Brenda Kay (Armstrong) Favre

Brenda K. Armstrong Favre, 62, of Winchester, IN, passed away Friday morning, August 6, 2021 at Pine Knoll Nursing home in Winchester after a two year battle with cancer.

Born August 9, 1958, in Winchester she was the daughter of Glen J. Armstrong and Julia (Judy) A. (Henizer) Wasson.

She graduated from Winchester Community High School with the class of 1976.  Following high school she attended Ambers Beauty School.  She then served as a hair stylist at Hair Junction in Winchester for many years.

Brenda loved being outside and especially going to the beach.  She really enjoyed her trips to Hawaii when her daughter’s husband was stationed in the Navy There.  Brenda also loved making candy and baking at Christmas time, a trait of her late grandmother Opal Henizer.

Brenda had a great love for her family and some special pets she had through the years.

Brenda is survived by her son Andrew Favre of Ridgeville, daughter Amanda Favre (Kyle) Longnecker of Groton, CT, and daughter Angela Favre (Robert) Meiring of Winchester; sister Linda Armstrong Stewart of Winchester and brother Duane (Dorthie) Armstrong of Ridgeland, SC; step-sister Nancy (Stu) Barnes of Winchester, Aunt Marilyn Lewis of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews living in many different states.

One of her greatest joys and loves were her 6 grandchildren that she loved seeing and spending time with; Jason Favre-Walser of Winchester, Zoe Longnecker of Groton CT, Joseph Meiring of Winchester, Zane Longnecker of Groton CT, Zander Longnecker of Groton CT, and Zuri Longnecker (who was just born July 12 and Brenda got to meet her just a few days before she passed) of Groton CT.  Brenda will also be missed by her cat Oreo (that is now living with the grandchildren in CT)

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Robert Wasson and step-moter Pat Armstrong; brother Kevin Armstrong and sister Shirley Armstrong

Memorial service is pending.
