Beverly “Bev” Vardaman, 83, passed away on Sunday November 27 at The Springs in Richmond, IN. She was born on September 2, 1939 in Greenville, Ohio to Florence Virginia Pendlum Bowen and David Benjamin Bowen.
Beverly graduated from Lynn H. S. in 1957 and attended classes at IUE. She was retired from Saint Vincent Hospital. Her favorite hobby was genealogy and she also enjoyed miniatures and watching sports. She will be missed by her family.
Beverly is survived by her Children: Vicki Vardaman, Valerie Wasson, Lynn, IN, Todd Vardaman, Columbus, IN; Grand children: Katie Jones, Benjamin Vardaman (Virginia), Harley Vardaman, Jesse Wasson ( Samantha), Dylan Wasson (Samantha), Todd C. Vardaman (Takia), Zaigen Holcomb (Dylan); Great grandchildren: Gabriel, Apollo, Alia, Benjamin, Bowen, Luanne, Maggi, Sophia, Hali’a, Kay’lyn, Adley, Jemma and Waylon.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years W. E. “Bud” Vardaman in 2008. A sister Barbara McCoy, brother in law Gene McCoy, brother Larry Bowen and her parents.
The family is planning to hold a celebration of life in the spring. Donations in Bev’s memory may be made to the Lynn Friends Church food pantry.
