Beverly Sue (Kiser) Manning, 80 of Deerfield passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at 9:59 am at the Brethren's Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 4, 1944 in Winchester, Indiana to Orville and Marjorie (Booher) Kiser.
Beverly is survived by her husband Bobby Manning of Winchester, her four children Jamie (Barry) Banks of Muncie, Krisa (Randy) Deboy of Winchester, Lanie Manning of Muncie and Jason (Heather) Manning of Union City, OH., seven grandchildren Chelsea (Brian) Watters of Noblesville, Hunter (fiance Lexa Inkley) Banks of Maui, HI, Lane Manning of Union City, OH, Shelby (Ethan) Howe of New Enterprise, PA, Tristan (fiance Taylor Prescott) Erwin of Lynn, Colby Manning and Brennan Manning both of Union City, OH. three great grandchildren Avery Watters, Merit Watters and Ellie Howe. Her brother Gary (Krista) Kiser of Winchester, in-laws Jerry (Amber) Manning Winchester, Debbie (Manning) Grubbs Winchester, Mark (Mary) Manning Auburn, Debra Manning Lawrenceburg, and several nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Marjorie (Booher) Kiser, grandparents Ervin and Alta (Collins) Kiser, father and mother in-law Robert and Velma (Minger) Manning, brothers in-law Eurby Grubbs and Steve Manning.
Her father Orville built the Kiser Roller Rink in 1948 in Deerfield where Beverly skated throughout her life until the rink closed. Beverly was an excellent skater and a popular skating partner. She attended Jefferson High School for 7 years and graduated from Ward Jackson High School in 1962. She married her high school sweetheart Bobby Lee Manning on June 8, 1963 after which they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Beverly spent her summers at the family cabin her father built in 1952 in northern Michigan. She and Bobby also enjoyed spending time at the cabin with family and friends throughout their married life together. Beverly most cherished her children and grandchildren. She raised them in a home filled with the smells of the delicious meals they couldn't wait to eat. Her and Bobby were always present at the ballgames, band and other activities their family was involved in. Beverly's warm and caring nature was due to her faith in the lord. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church and Countryside Christian Church in Winchester.
Beverly was an active member of her community where she was a kindergarten aide then librarian at Deerfield Elementary for over 20 years. Other activities she enjoyed were being a 4-H club leader and Winchester Library Board member for several years. Beverly was also a founding board member of the Friends of Ward Twp. District # 5 school one room school restoration near Deerfield. In her free time, Beverly loved to sew, cook, make jewelry and work in her flower gardens. She also loved to study family history and genealogy.
Funeral services to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held on Saturday October 12, 2024 at Countryside Christian Church in Winchester. Calling hours will be from 11:00-2:00 pm. Services will follow with Bill Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Reitenour Cemetery west of Deerfield.
