Beverly (Shaffer) Maines

Beverly “Bev” Maines passed away peacefully in her sleep after living a joyful and vibrant life. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and she and her family later settled in Lynn, Indiana where she and her late Husband Bill raised four daughters. She was trained in nursing and used those skills at the local doctor’s office where she touched many lives. She was a special person to her family, her many friends, her daughters’ friends, and virtually anyone who ever met her. Her home was always open to all. Those who entered were warmly welcomed and nurtured and many were made to feel like they were family. Her great sense of humor and love of laughter would always bring a smile. She will be so missed by many.

She is survived by her daughters Francie Thompson, Jill (Craig) Whitaker, Jodi Sickels, and Traci (Greg) Dolan. Grandchildren Brandi (Tim) Kramer, Wylie Sickels Buhs, Gabriel (Shayla) Sickels and Christian Dolan. Seven great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two brothers, and her son-in-law, Ned Sickels.
