Betty Jane Jenkins

Betty Jane (McDavid) Jenkins, 90, of Lancaster OH died peacefully, Saturday January 10, 2026.  She was born October 4, 1935, in Carter, KY the daughter of Lovie & Cleo Beatrice (Jesse) McDavid. Betty was a dedicated & long-time member of the United Church of God, Columbus & Dayton congratulations.  Betty grew up and raised her family in and around the Winchester, IN area.  Only moving to Ohio later in life to be closer to one of her daughters.  She was a gifted seamstress, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandma & friend. 

Betty is survived by her brothers, Paul & Garret, sister, Lovie Farrington, daughter, Anita Dement, son, Kevin (Tammy) Dement, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovie & Cleo, husbands, Fredric Dement, Leonard Whittle & James Jenkins, children, Fred A. Dement & Connie (John) Seifert, siblings, Jack, Harry, Jim, Bill, Larry, Carra Faye Chalfant & Monnie Tarter, as well as grandson, Ethan Dement.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday January 19th at 1:00pm at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana.
