Bertha Ann Manning, (Kerney) 85, of Winchester, Indiana, passed away on June 12, 2024. Born on February 18, 1939, in Chanute, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Barney Kerney and Leah Mae Penticuff. Bertha Ann was a loving homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.
She is survived by her sons, Brett (Paula) Manning, David (Lou Anne) Manning, brothers Delmar Lee and William Phillip, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Manning, brothers Wesley and Gilbert Kerney, and three infant sisters: Betty, Virginia, and Linda Kerney.
Bertha Ann loved her family dearly and found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for crossword puzzles, reading, and staying informed about current events. Her warm spirit and appreciation for kindness endeared her to all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at Spartanburg Cemetery on Tuesday, June 18th, at 2:00 p.m. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Pineknoll and Randolph Nursing and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care during Bertha's final years.
Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. Bertha Ann Manning will be deeply missed and remembered for her loving nature and cherished memories she leaves behind.
