Basil Allen Comer, age 74, died Sunday, August 4th, 2024, at his home. Basil was born November 11, 1949, in Winchester, IN to Richard and Nellie Comer.
Basil was raised along with his two brothers in Randolph Co. He farmed, owned a trucking company with his son Kris and worked with his brother Jim (Teresa) Comer in their farming enterprise. He was a 1968 graduate of Randolph Southern High School in Lynn, IN. He lived out his life in Randolph County. Basil enjoyed going to tractor pulls and following the World of Outlaws and USAC sprint car races with his close friend Linda Pease. He was an incredibly talented wood worker and spent many hours in his shop where he put love into every piece he built.
Basil was preceded in death by his father Richard Comer and wife Carol (Garner) Comer.
Basil is survived by his mother, Nellie (Lamb) Comer, his children Kris Comer of Greenville, OH, Marcy (Michael) MacQueen of Grove City, OH, and his two brothers. He leaves two grandchildren, Carter and Luke MacQueen of Grove City, OH and three stepchildren, Jason and Josh Wolosonovich, and Janna Price, and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 24th at 11a.m. at Spartanburg Cemetery, 6623 S Arba Pike, Lynn, IN 47355.
