Barbara (Short) Sandifar

Barbara Sandifar, 92, of Winchester, passed away peacefully at Persimmon Ridge in Portland on Thursday, June 6, 2024.  She was born on July 31, 1931 to Orville and Fannie Short.

Barbara graduated from McKinley High School in 1949.  She married Edwards Sandifar on March 2, 1951 and they had a son, Steve.  She worked at Ohio Valley Gas and Armstrong Mould in her earlier years.  Then, she became co-owner of Nance and Sandifar Realty with her beloved friend Jim Nance, until her retirement.  She will be greatly missed.

Barbara is survived by her 3 grandchildren, Steve (Jenn) Sandifar, Stacy (Jeremy) Brandenburg, and Ashley (Alex) Gard; six great grandchildren, Luke and Roman Sandifar, Justin, Dakota, Wiley, and Hayden Brandenburg; sister, Annetta Watson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie; son Steve; and brother, Sam.

A private service for Barbara will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
