Barbara Gillum, 84, of Winchester, passed away at her home on Friday, December 15, 2023. Barb was born on July 7, 1939, in Winchester to Joe and Ruby (Ralston) White.
Barb worked at the Rainbow Restaurant, 5&10 Store, Haines Drugs, and the Moose Lodge. She lived in Corpus Christi, Texas for 25 years, where she retired from Walmart. She loved walking and doing puzzles.
Barb is survived by 3 daughters, Jenny (Michael) Pugh of Redkey, Judy (Tim) Day and Joy (Tim) Keys of Winchester; 4 grandchildren, Chad (Sarah) Lykins of Redkey, Edward (Sara) Lykins, Biloxi, MS, Timothy (Gina) Day and Kiana Keys of Winchester; a brother, Michael (Sylvia) White of Corpus Christi, TX; 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jack Gillum; 3 grandchildren, Heather Huxhold, Jackie Day, and Kyle Keys; a brother, Joe White, Jr.; 4 sisters, Evelyn Greene, Patricia Odle, Marjorie Cochran and Rosadeane Kelley.
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Chaplain Dave Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery in Portland, Indiana.
Friends and family may call from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home.
