Anna Justine (Meadows) Goforth, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by many family and friends, Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, Indiana. She was married to Henry Goforth for 52 years.
Anna, known by many as Mamaw Duck, always loved a full house. Family and friends were the center of her life and made her the happiest. She loved playing Bingo, Cards, Word Searches, Scratch-Offs, Banana Splits and Sheldon. Her ornery spirit, spunk, kind heart and generosity were what made her unforgettable. Anna retired from Anchor Hocking after 30 years. She was a loyal member of the Church of Christ and prided herself on never missing a Sunday. She will be sadly missed by many.
Leaving behind to carry on her spirit and spunk is her sister Addie Staggs, Daughters; Gail (Steve) Croyle and Judi (Wayne) Addington. Grandchildren; Brian (Barb) Hollowell, Kim (Chris) Martin, Angi Holt (Nick Sarff), Rob (Daphne) Croyle; Great Grandchildren; Brandon (Kenzie) Martin, Bailey Hollowell (Trace Couch), Mackenzie Hollowell (Michael Bailey), Taner (Holly) Garringer, Tayler Garringer (Kara Wake), Nina Sarff, Kylie (Jake) Lasater, Giavanni Amarino; Great-great Grandchildren; Miah Lasater, Braylon Couch, Harper Couch, Aspen Martin and coming soon Abel Mae Martin.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents Elbert Jordan and Celia Wasson Meadows, her husband Henry Goforth, one son Gary Goforth and her brother Shirley Ray Meadows
Services will be held at Winchester Church of Christ, Friday July 28, 2023. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Services will follow. Graveside services will be held in Stanton, Kentucky Saturday July 29, 2023. Pastor Bob Moorman will be officiating all services.
