Amber Danielle (Henchon) McIntire

Amber (Henchon) McIntire born September 27th 1978 to Steve Henchon and Mary (Phillips) Holder went to her final resting place Saturday, August 24th @ 7:59 am. Amber passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Amber was a 1997 Graduate of Winchester Community High School, where she played basketball, ran cross country and track. After high school Amber attended Ivy Tech to pursue a career in the dental field. Amber was a strong individual that lived her life for your children and family. She loved watching her kids play sports more than anything in the world. She enjoyed family time and was a great mentor to all of her nieces and nephews.

Amber is survived by her husband, Simeon McIntire; her three children, Kaylan McIntire (Jean Pieterse) Mabrey McIntire (Crosby Heniser) and Kohen McIntire; her father, Steve (Lisa ) Henchon; her mother, Mary (Tom) Holder; mother-in-law, Virgina McIntire; one brother, Travis (Sandy) Henchon; nephew, Tristen (Madison) Henchon; great nephew, Waylon Henchon, niece, Shaylah (Mark) Hampshire, three step sisters, Amanda Dull, Wendy Luedike (Pete), and Stephanie Gallagher; and 1 step brother Tyler Dull.

Amber is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles (Henry) and Dorthy Henchon, Shelley and Carolyn (Shaneyfelt) Phillips; and father in law, Jeff McIntire.

A service to celebrate Amber’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.  Burial will follow at Lawndale Cemetery.

Friends and family may call from 4-7 on Wednesday, August 28, as well as an hour before services on Thursday, at the funeral home.
