Raymond Lee McCord, 91 of Winchester passed away on July 5th 2020 at Reid Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Delaware County on July 31, 1928 to Lewis and Cynthia (Allie) McCord.

Raymond was married to Ada (Burton) McCord for 54 years when she passed away in 2002.  Raymond attended Jefferson High School and retired in 1990 after 40 years with Borg-Warner Automotive in Muncie.

He was preceded in death by brothers Lewis Jr, Donald, and Bobby and sisters Mildred Kidder, Martha Bickel, and Cynthia Ann Osborne.

Raymond is survived by (3) children:

Daughter Janelle McCord of Cincinnati, OH and son Michael Gohn.

Son Michael, wife Tara of Springfield, VA and the grandchildren Caitlin McCord Delaney (Mike) and daughter Roisin; Brendan McCord (Adrianne) and daughter Arden; and Cameron McCord. 

Son Dick, wife Vicky (Betty) of Maryville, TN and the grandchildren Stephen (Dawn Cortner) McCord and daughters Zara and Eliza and son Keegan; Christen (Chad) Staggs and daughters Jacey, Ashlynn, and Raegen.  Step-granddaughters Amy (Todd) Schroeder and Jamie (Kyle) Potter and 5 step great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Summers Pointe for their loving care and compassion.

Walker Funeral Home in Winchester is handling the arrangements. There will be no calling hours or public services due to the Covid-19 situation with interment at Fountain Park Cemetery with only the immediate family permitted.
