Sherman E. Armstrong, Sr., residing at Summer’s Pointe, Winchester, Indiana, passed away on January 23, 2019.  Sherman was born in Zanesville, Ohio to Sherman Krouskoupf and Adeline Turner.

He graduated from Winchester High School and married his first wife, Shirley Davis.  Together they had four children, Shauna, Sheldon, Sherwin, and Sherman (JR) Armstrong, Jr.  He later married Lisa Norris and had a son, Seth Armstrong.

Sherman worked in the glass-mould industry most of his life and later settled in Winchester founding Armstrong Mould, Inc., as well as AMI racing.  He enjoyed being on the water, golfing, growing tomatoes, dark chocolate, Christmas decorations, all dogs, watching NASCAR, cooking, and making his much loved Black Walnut Fudge. 

Sherman is survived by his brother, David Armstrong of Ocala, FL; three children, daughter, Shauna Armstrong of Austin, TX, and two sons, JR Armstrong of Noblesville, IN, and Seth Armstrong of Winchester; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Dustin, Danielle, Derek, Katie, Kyle, Avery, Scottie, and Holden; and five great grandchildren, Daygen, Aiden, Mason, Ava, and Holden. 

He was preceded in death by his sons, Sheldon Armstrong and Sherwin Armstrong.

A private family service will be conducted by Chaplin Rick Alvey and burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery, in Winchester.
