Janet E. Morford, 70, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the Reid Hospital in Richmond.  She was born in Richmond, on February 29, 1948, to Elmer and Edna (Andersen) McKee.

Janet was a 1966 graduate of Richmond High School.  She also graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University.  Janet was a case worker for Wayne County Welfare Department and later worked for the Randolph County Welfare Department.  She enjoyed going dancing.

Janet is survived by her husband, Harold Lee Morford of Winchester; a son, Kenrick Rawlings of Bloomington, IN; a step daughter, Holly (Max) Wood of Russellville, KY; two grandsons, Tyler Wood and Matthew Wood; two brothers, Kyle (Amy) McKee of Richmond, and Lyle (Marie) McKee of Bloomington; and a sister-in-law, Marie McKee of Elgin, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dr. Ken McKee.

A service to celebrate Janet’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.  Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
