Roger Martin Cline, 83, of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.  He was born on March 9, 1935, in Bloomington, IN to Bernie Cline and Ruby Headley Cline Wickersham.

Roger graduated from Winchester High School in 1953 and Ball State University in 1958.  He worked at OMCO for 35 years and retired as Personnel Director.  He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Winchester Golf Course.

Roger was an avid sports enthusiast and loved playing the game of golf with his friends.  He had many happy memories from his golf trips.  WCHS was also important to him and kept him entertained with all of the sporting events.

Roger loved his family.  He often talked about “his girls”.  He and Jan Wright Cline Hawkins had three daughters together, Jana Cline (Curt Passmore) Burke of Chicago, IL, Rhonda Cline (George) Medler of Tampa, FL, and Melissa Cline (Mike) Hess of Arlington, IN.  He was blessed to also have seven granddaughters, Haley, Rachel, and Emma Burke, Morgan Medler (Clay) Etchison; Mackenzie Medler, Maghen Hess (Jeff) Trinker, and Micah Hess.  He finally got a male in the family by his great grandson, Henry Hess Trinker.

His siblings that were an important part of his life are, Joan Cline Bowers, TX, Jeanie (Alan) Wickersham of White, GA, Paulette Cline Kelly, of Winchester, IN, Marsha Wickersham of Indianapolis, and Mike (Julie) Wickersham of Winchester.  He had several nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Cline; His mother and father, Ruby and Duane Wickersham; a sister, Peggy Thomas; and nephews Eric White and Lee Kelly.

A service to celebrate Roger’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Amory Merriman officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Friends and family may call from 2-5 p.m., on Sunday, January 6 as well as an hour prior to services on Monday, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Winchester Alumni Association, P.O. Box 492, Winchester, IN 47394, in Roger's name with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Roger was an organ donor and was able to donate for Breast Cancer patients.  This was a special cause for him due to his daughters Breast Cancer history.

I am so sorry to hear we lost Roger. Such a great person. He was a very good friend of my parents. I have known Roger since I was a Kid, and am very proud to have had that privilege.
I was always amazed at Roger's memory. He could put people, names, places and dates together, going way back, in literally seconds. He will be missed by so many.
