Marilyn Jean Howell, 87, of Winchester, passed away on October 25, 2018, at the St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester. She was born on December 9, 1930, in Winchester, to Walter and Evelyn (Jarrett) Haisley.  On November 12, 1950 she married Jack Howell. 

For 47 years, she worked at the Randolph County Bank in Winchester.  Marilyn was a huge sports fan especially for the Colts and the Pacers.  She enjoyed flowers and pumpkins.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Fran Hitchcock.

She is survived by her husband Jack Howell; three sons, Greg (Beth) Howell of Columbus, IN, Brad (Teresa) Howell of Winchester, and Brent (Tish) Howell of Winchester; grandchildren, Amy (Terry) Howell, Brian (Tara) Howell, Kori (William) Moyer, Stacy (Chris) Passarella, Jonas (Laura) Howell, Carissa Howell, Katie (Evan Trotta) Howell, and Sarah (Andrew) Willis; great grandchildren, Demi, Paige, Ciera, Maycee, Walter, Addisyn, Raegan, Liam, Mason, Hailey, Harper, Ava, Connor, Landon, and Mahala; and one sister, Betty (Robert) Howell.

Per Marilyn’s wishes, the family will have a private funeral service.  Burial will be a later date at the Fountain Park Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cancer Services of Randolph County, 133 N. Meridian St., Winchester, IN 47394.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Marilyn. Truly enjoyed working with her. Jack - so sorry for the loss of your soulmate. Greg, Brad, Brent and families-sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person in your lives. My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time.

Worked with her numerous times at bank and attended parties with her and Jack.

Hello Jack Jim and i are very saddened to hear of Marilyns passing. I always remember that beautiful lady in yellow,,,as it was her favorite. Always, will we remember her smiling face and concern over others.
