Karen Kay (Edwards) Pugh, 77, passed away, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at her home in Winchester.

Karen was born on November 21, 1940 in Salem, New Jersey to the late Charles (Phil) Edwards and Dorothy (Shaffer) Edwards.  She lived there until age 4 then moved to Winchester, Indiana.  She graduated from Winchester High School in 1958.  Karen worked at J. C. Penny’s until the store closing then became a merchandiser for several companies.  She served on the Winchester Library Board.  She was a member of the Main Street Christian Church and the Red Hat Society.  She was a past member of the Phi Delta Kappa, Women of the Moose, and American Legion.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to their sporting events and dance recitals and playing Mah-Jongg with her family and friends.

Karen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert (Bob) Pugh; her son, Scott (Diana) Dull; her daughters, Debbie (Dave) Byrd of Elwood, IN, Brenda (Rob) Fetty of Anderson, IN, Jayne (Dick) Kern of Muncie, IN, and Cindy Howell of Winchester, IN; four grandchildren, Jaxon Fetty, of Anderson, Cody (Janelle) Dull of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kristin (Zach) McCaslin of Valparaiso, IN; and Joanna (Kota) Jenkins of Winchester; three great grandchildren, Connor Shockley, Charity Jenkins, and Jaylen Jenkins;  her brother, Philip Doug Edwards of Indianapolis, IN; her cousin, Carolyn Sanders; and her special friend Bev Jones.

A memorial service for Karen will be at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home, with Rev. Melissa Kleinschmidt officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Friends and family may call from 12-2 p.m., on Saturday, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Services of Randolph County, 133 N. Meridian St., Winchester, IN 47394 or American Lung Association of Indiana, 115 W. Washington St., Ste. 1180-S, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
