Lori Diane Hart Miller, 58, passed away August 14, 2018 at her home in Winchester almost three years after her diagnosis of brain cancer (glioblastoma).

Lori was born July 16, 1960 in Winchester, the daughter of Edward L and Billie J (Armey) Hart.  She graduated from Ball State University in 1982 (MA 1988).  In 1983 she was appointed by Governor Robert Orr as the student representative for the BSU Board of Trustees.  Upon graduation she moved to Indianapolis and worked in sales for Xerox, Polaroid and Bausch & Lomb.  Lori moved to Rochester, New York in 2010 and worked in the corporate office of Bausch & Lomb as Manager of Learning and Development/Sales Training and later became Regional Business Director, Sales Associate Program.  She finished her career working for Pictometry in Rochester as a district sales manager.

Lori is survived by her mother Billie J Hart, her brother Tim Hart (Tanya), niece Kelsey Feltis (Joe), nephew Jacob Hart (Erin), great nephew Joey Feltis and great nieces Jordan and Rylynn Feltis.  She was preceded in death by her father Edward L Hart, Jr.

Lori was a life-long learner and enjoyed taking classes to expand her knowledge and learn new skills.  She had countless friends and sorority sisters (Chi Omega) who remained an important part of her life.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 26th at the Towne Square Business and Community Centre, 123 W. Franklin St, Winchester, IN 47394.  Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m.

The family would like to thank her many friends for their love and support during her illness and the caregivers who made it possible for her to live the last year and a half at home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Glioblastoma Foundation, P.O. On behalf of both of us please except our deepest condolences. She was a very loving caring and compassionate lady. I remember how nice she always was to me in school. I'm sorry I didn't know of her illness as I would have helped in anyway I could. Tim if you need anything and we mean it please dont hesitate to call or email me. I would be happy to prepare food for your family if you need me too. Love to all of the family. We are so very sorry for such a huge loss.

Words can't express what a beautiful and loving person Lori was. Although I didn't know her well in college, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to grow closer to her afterwards; sharing many dinners and fun times with her and some of our other sorority sisters. Our annual fall dinner at Lori's house on Kessler was a highlight of our year! Her bravery and positive attitude after her diagnosis was inspiring to all of us, and we will miss her dearly!!

To the many family and friends of Ms Miller, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope you can find a measure of comfort in knowing that the Almighty God is aware of the pain caused by death and will soon bring an end to it. The Bible mentions that “the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.”(1 Corinthians 15:26) It also mentions that God will bring back to life your dear loved one and all those we have lost to this enemy to a world free from any sickness or suffering.(Acts 24:15). I truly hope you can find comfort in these promises during this difficult time.

All of us who knew Lori are saddened at her passing. She always had a smile on her face and was happy. Even after her illness was diagnosed her outlook was uplifting. God Bless her family -- from all who knew her and worked with her over the years at Bausch and Lomb.
