Music by The Piano Brothers

With heavy hearts we are saddened to share the passing of our wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Linda Kay (Hall) Hawley but thankful that she’s now our guardian angel, no longer suffering, and free to spread her wings and fly.

She was born April 13, 1954, in Union City, Indiana, to James and Willette (Daugherty) Hall.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate, Howard “Bud” Hawley whose love, despite every battle she endured, never wavered.  Also surviving her are her children Tracy (Rick) Hawley, Robert (Lisa) Morford, Jr., Chris (Marcy) Phenis, Jamie (Travis) Coats, Brandy (Josh) Rice, and her loving furbaby Frank.  She adored all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and made memories that will last them a lifetime.  She loved her children but her grandchildren brought her so much joy.  Sharing her candy with them, despite their parents’ objections, always brought out a sneaky, happy grin.  She is also survived by her sister Mary Beatrice and brothers Ted (Rae) Hall, Carl Hall, Jerry (Becky) Hall, and her sister-in-law Phyllis Speed, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother William Speed, sister Donna Barrow, and granddaughter Lila Rice.

Special thanks go to the hospice nurses and nurses at Ball Memorial Hospital who took care of her.

There will be a small celebration of life ceremony August 12, 2018 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Winchester Moose.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the America Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 and write in the Memo line “Restrict to Local Area.”

Fly High, Momma.  Lotsa Love

We are grieved by the passing of Grandma Linda. One of our most cherished photograph is one of Zaylee and Grandma Linda at her home last year. She suffered so much for so long, but never let it show in the presence of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren. Our love remains with all of the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who are left behind with precious memories. Our hearts remain filled with sorrow.
