Helen M. (Loper) Warren, 86, of Saratoga passed away on March 17, 2018.  She was born in Portland, Indiana, on July 2, 1931 to Charles and Helen (Twigg) Loper. 

Helen was postmaster of the Saratoga Post office from 1965-1991.  She and Charlie enjoyed traveling by motorcycle and RV for many years.  They wintered in Florida for approximately 20 years. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, and spending time with her family.  She was an active member in her church and loved the Lord with all her heart.  Helen was a very loving and giving woman. She will be greatly missed.

She was survived by her children: Linda J. Buckingham, Leta J. (Warren, Valandingham) Hiatt (husband Craig) of Terre Haute, and Lawrence "Larry" J Warren (wife Julia); grandchildren, Greg Buckingham (wife Michelle), Doug Buckingham (wife Susan), Rick Valandingham (wife Chandra), Jeff Valandingham, Tim Valandingham all of Terre Haute, Shelly (Warren) Rowe, and Casey J. Warren; great grandchildren, Haylie, Kyle, and Carter Buckingham, Kirsten, Connor, and Kelli Buckingham, Maci and Madalynn Valandingham, Leigha, Mason, and Halle Valandingham, Pacey Rowe, Crevan and Ryder Warren, and Scarlett Shafer; and siblings, Pat Haviland, Mike Loper, and John Loper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years Charles Warren, her grandson Charles Cody Warren, (widow Kristin) and siblings; Dolly Jellison, Barbara Loy, Thelma Nevill, Charles Loper, Bob Loper, Marsha Wickelma, and Charlene Rodmaker.

A celebration of Helen’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Yaryan officiating.  Burial will follow at the Saratoga Cemetery. 

Friends and family may call 2 hours prior to the service on Thursday.
