Judith “Judy” Ann Snyder, 81, formerly of Winchester, IN, now of Muncie, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born November 13, 1942, in Muncie, IN to Robert and Jean Saylor, now deceased, of Winchester.
Judy graduated from Lee Driver High School of Winchester in 1961. Later in life, she attended Indiana Business College and studied to be a licensed QMA. Judy was a member of First Church of Christ, in Lynn, IN. She was married 58 years to Thomas L. Snyder on November 19, 1965, he survives her.
Judy worked at former Community Care Center of Winchester for 11 years. Then she worked 6 years at Mutual Federal Bank in Muncie, retiring from there in 2002.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She enjoyed reading, crocheting Afghans and baby blankets for family and friends as well as collecting teapots. She loved fishing, had a green thumb, and enjoyed working on their farm where she spent her time gardening, canning, and cooking for over 40 years. Judy was a member of and held several officer roles of the Randolph County Women's Home Extension Club for several years. She was a very energetic person who enjoyed and embraced life to its fullest.
Judy will be missed by her husband, Tom; daughters, Julie (Jerry) Greer of Arlington, OH and Karla (Matt) Sigler of Muncie; step daughter, Becky (Owen) Epps of Virginia; son, Neal (Tracy) Snyder of Muncie; grandchildren, Breanna Camp, Noah Sigler, and Samuel Spade; a brother, Michael (Becky) Saylor of Hartford City, IN; and nephews, Jeff Saylor and Brian (Becca) Saylor.
A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Ray Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, at the funeral home.
