Opal (Rader) Leach, 78, of Winchester, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on September 9, 1939, in Paris, Kentucky, to John and Kathleen (Mays) Rader.
Opal was a 1957 graduate of Connersville High School. She worked as a retail sales clerk and last worked at Pak-A-Sak. Opal enjoyed doing puzzles and enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat, Baby.
Opal is survived by her daughter, Donita Wood; a grandchild, Michala Wood; a sister, Freda (Jr.) Abshear; a niece, Denise Roberts; and a great niece and great nephew, Jarrod Roberts and Morgan Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Rader; a sister, Donna Parrett; and a nephew, James Ratliff.
Funeral services for Opal will be at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call two hours prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
