Louise French, 96, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Reid Hospital in Richmond.  She was born on February 16, 1922, in Winchester, to Ora and Virgie (Lane) Smith.

Louise was homemaker and she worked at Saratoga Bank and Peoples Loan and Trust.  She was a member of the Bear Creek Friends Church.  Louise also belonged to the Neighborly Home-Ec Club as well as being past president of the Randolph County Home-Ec Club.  She enjoyed watching the Pacers and her granddaughters sporting events.

Louise is survived by her two children, Gary (Christina) Stewart and Gene (Christine) Stewart; four grandchildren, Amy Hinshaw, Mabrey (Clark) Chamberlin, Jill (Brad) Craw, and Dru (Brian) Goettemoeller; and six great grandchildren, Becca and Maci Chamberlin, Spencer Goettemoeller, Zoey and Grant Craw, and Haley Hinshaw.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Grant Stewart; and her second husband, Eldon French.

Funeral services for Louise will be at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Zach Kennedy officiating.  Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. 

Friends and family may call two hours prior to funeral services, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Bear Creek Friends Church, 4038 W. 500 N., Winchester IN 47394.
