Jerry Wayne Martzell, 71, of Bellmead, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at his home.

He was born on September 25, 1946 in Winchester, Indiana to Ernest Dale Martzell and the late Melba Lou (Shandy) DeCamp. He was a 1965 graduate of Lee L. Driver High School, in Winchester, Indiana and also earned his electronics certificate from United Electronics Institute of Louisville, Kentucky. He had worked at Darke Precision in Greenville, Ohio where he retired as a machinist. Jerry enjoyed playing cards, building in his workshop and loved his music.

Survivors include his father, Ernest Dale (wife Dorothy) Martzell of Winchester, Indiana; wife, Barbara (Colsten) Martzell, of Bellmead, Texas; daughter, Jennifer (husband Christopher) Pemberton of Friendswood, Texas; son, Bryan (wife Jasmine) Martzell of Lynn, Indiana; Five grandchildren, Leah and Gabriel Pemberton of Friendswood, Texas; Austin and Macy Martzell of Lynn, Indiana; and Nathaniel Martzell of Winchester, Indiana.

Jerry was preceded in death by wife, Joanne Helen Martzell; brother, Barry Shane Martzell; Mother, Melba Lou DeCamp; and step father, Donald DeCamp.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the Walker Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Govin officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

I want to express how sorry Iam for the familys loss. There are some very comforting words found in Gods Word, the Bible, at Acts the 17th. chapter, verses 24 & 25 where God is called "the source of life"......the One who gave life to all living creatures is certainly capable of restoring life to our loved ones who have died. Another comforting scripture is found in the Bible book of Job, the 14th. chapter, verses 14 & 15. It speaks about how God longs to bring back those who are in His memory & see them live on earth again. I hope this brings the family comfort. My sincere condolence to you & yours.
