Wilma E. Koch, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 9, 2017. Wilma was born November 26, 1930 to Frank & Velma (Coats) Gulley in Connersville, Indiana. Wilma was the 5th child of seven and she spent her adult years sharing lots of funny stories of all her siblings. After high school Wilma went to work for the FBI in Washington DC for a few years. When she returned to Indiana she met and married the love of her life Howard (Bill) Koch. They shared their life with son, Mike and numerous stray cats and dogs that found their way into their yard and hearts.

Wilma was a huge sports fan. She loved all sports, but mostly basketball. She could quote stats of most teams and closely followed and cheered for her IU Hoosiers. Wilma loved to play cards, especially canasta and poker. She shared her love of cards with her four grandsons as soon as they could count and had no problem taking their nickels and dimes. She also loved to fish. Wilma and her grandson Matthew would sit for many hours fishing the day away, catching fish and sunburn. In all she taught her grandsons, patience was her best virtue. Wilma was very close with all her grandsons, always supporting them in all their endeavors and loving them unconditionally. Her gentle spirit will be greatly missed.

Wilma was welcomed into her eternal home by her husband Bill (1990), her parents, her siblings June, Junior, Marvin, Eileen and Rebecca. Also welcoming her home is her grandson Matthew.

She leaves behind her son, Mike and daughter in law Pam, her grandsons Wes (Lisa), Alex and Tyler (Blakeleigh) and her great grandson Zeke. She will be missed by her brother Norman of Gas City and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at a later date at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Cancer Services of Randolph County 133 N. Meridian St. Winchester, IN 47394. Walker Funeral Home in Winchester is handling arrangements.
