Jerry (Tharp) Rust Chandler, 77, formerly of Winchester, presently of Leesburg, IN passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the Mason Healthcare in Warsaw, IN. She was born on October 8, 1935, in Winchester, IN, to James and Helen (Byrne) Tharp.
Jerry was a homemaker. She enjoyed arts and crafts.
Jerry is survived by her two sisters, Linda McGairk of Muncie, and Mary Jane (Thomas) Jakway of Cape Coral, FL; a stepson, Buddy (Patti) Chandler of Warsaw; four step daughters, Mary (James) Conway of North Webster, IN; Kathy Hutchinson of Alabama, Anita (Jack) Stump of Silver Lake, IN, and Connie Chandler of Pierceton, IN; a special nephew, Jerry Rust of Winchester; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Allen Rust, who passed away in 1989; her second husband, James Chandler that passed away in 2009; and a nephew, Brian Collins.
Funeral services of Jerry will be at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Walker Funeral Home, in Winchester, with her stepson, Buddy Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call one hour before the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
