Linda Lou Wagner went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 24, 2012.  Known for her highly spirited and enthusiastic personality, she lived life to its fullest.  Her days were dedicated to helping others.  She touched and shaped the lives of many through her 25 years of babysitting and active participation in the Winchester Community High School Band and Athletic Boosters.  She had been a supporter of young people of the community for over fifty years culminating with her role as a Randolph Central School Board member, which she had recently retired from after 20 years of service.  She was a member of the Saratoga United Methodist Church, the Saratoga Extension Homemakers Club, and the Ward Township Firemen's Auxiliary.  She volunteered at the Cancer Services for Randolph County.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jerry; three children, Brenda Florea of Greenfield; Brad Wagner of Bristol, Virginia; Brian (Janell) Wagner of Winchester; two brothers Loren Earl Ridgeway (Judy) of Fortville; Joe Ridgeway (Charlotte) of Winchester; and one sister, Sue Hersberger of Winchester. She also leaves to treasure her memory three wonderful grandsons, Garrett and Grant Wagner of Winchester, and Ronnie Wagner of Portland, Indiana.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jay and a brother Dale Ridgeway (Lela) of Biloxi, MI.

Funeral services for Linda will be Friday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winchester Community High School Field House, with Steve Connor officiating.  Burial will follow services at Weimer Cemetery in Saratoga.

Friends and family may call from 2-8 p.m., on Thursday, December 27, as well as an hour before services on Friday, all at the Winchester Community High School Field House.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cancer Services for Randolph County, 133 N. Meridian St., Winchester, IN 47394, or the Jay and Linda Wagner Memorial Scholarship fund.  Envelopes will be available at the Field House.  Walker Funeral Home in Winchester is handling the arrangements.

Jerry Brenda Brian and Brad, my heart is so heavy to hear of your loss. What a woman she was!! Upon meeting Linda, you never forgot her, that's for sure! The times I spent at your big old white farmhouse, with Aunt Sue there and her and Linda bickering back and forth!! Please know you are all in my thoughts, then, now and for ever.

Condolences to Linda's family and friends. I will remember Linda as one of my classmates at Ward-Jackson school at Saratoga and, for a short time, fellow passenger on our school bus route, driven by Hector Washler.
